The Swivel Spoon with Built Up Handle is a spoon that swivels to keep the utensil level to prevent spills due to hand tremors. Because of the swivel mechanism, this utensil is particularly helpful for people who have Parkinson's, hand tremors and weakness, or poor coordination.

The Swivel Spoon's built in swivel limiters prevent excess movement and allow the utensil to scoop food. The comfortable, non-slip, vinyl handle with finger indentations provides a more secure grip. Users with limited grip strength, ALS, limited dexterity, and hand tremors will find the ergonomic handles and moving utensil head help to make mealtime stress-free.

Swivel Spoon with Built Up Handle Specifications:

Measures: 8 inches long overall. Handle measures 4 inches long, 1 inch diameter. Spoon head measures 2.5 inches long, 1.5 inch wide.
Materials: Stainless steel spoon head, soft, non-slip vinyl grip. BPA and Phthalates Free.

Bought the spoon for my mother who is dealing with osteopenia... she cannot sit up straight... nor can she feed herself... everything goes in to her mouth at an angle. The spoon has been a tremendous help!

A: The Swivel mechanism in this spoon keeps spoon level to prevent spills for people with hand tremors or limited dexterity.

Q: Is it possible for you to coat your swivel spoon with a built up handle. I am trying to find one for one of my patients who is 20 years old and has CP?

A: We cannot coat the Swivel Spoon but we do carry a couple lines of coated utensils. Plastisol Coated Spoons (Product #: CKE105) and Good Grips Coated Spoons (Product #s: NC65597, NC65596, and NC65598).

A: All of the large handle utensils and aids are less than 2 inches. You may be able to modify a handle by adding foam to it but it is likely to not be long term or dishwasher safe.

A: Take a look at the Good Grips Weighted Utensils (product #NC6556). They are weighted and can be angled to the left or right.
