Questions and Answers
The
Wireless Wander Door Alarm
is a security system for seniors and Alzheimer’s patients who wander. Caregivers will find this wireless system with portable receiver easy to install and use.
The Wireless Wander Door Alarm is two-part alarm system that includes a door sensor mounted in the resident's room and a wireless receiver/alarm carried by the caregiver. The door or window sensor attaches easily to a door and doorjamb or to a window and window frame. When the door or window is opened, the electronic signal is sent to the remote receiver. The signal alerts the caregiver that the person has opened the door or window, is wandering out of safe range or entering a non-supervised area. The receiver can be set to beep or vibrate. Alerting chime rings at 80 to 85 decibels and the receiver can be up to 100 feet from sensor. A low-battery indicator light alerts users when to change batteries. This wander prevention safety system includes a battery in the sending unit and mounting instructions. The Wireless Wander Door Alarm System is excellent for home use, providing caregivers the peace of mind and freedom to attend other duties.

This thing does not have the range to even reach the next room. Very bad, and unreliable. How would you know if you went out of range? Not suitable for the purpose it is advertised for.

Can additional doir sensors be purchased to use with the receiver?

A:
Although we do not sell sensors separately, you can buy another unit, put them on the same channel, and they would work together.

Q:
how many door sensors come with it and where do they attach on the door?
Asked by:
Lynn
- 4/11/2016
A:
One door sensor and one receiver are included. The sensors are two parts, one part needs to go on the door frame and the other on the door. That way, when the door opens, and the sensors separate, the receiver gets signaled.
