The
Weighted Insulated Mug
is a large single handle mug with lid designed for individuals with hand tremors. This high impact plastic mug with weighted base holds hot or cold liquids.
The Weighted Insulated Mug has an easy to grasp single handle. The no-spill lid helps to regulate flow of liquids and has an opening to accommodate a drinking straw. This heavy drinking mug holds 12 oz of either hot or cold liquids and is dishwasher safe up to 180°F. Blue colored insulated weighted mug weighs 11.4 oz. The added weight may help to reduce a hand tremor caused by Parkinson's Disease, essential tremor, or other illnesses or injuries. Because steel weight is added to the base of the mug, it cannot be used in a microwave. Caregivers will find the Weighted Insulated Mug keeps beverages hot and cold, and helpful for users who have difficulty using a standard drinking mug.

Enjoy Hot Drinks Again
My husband, who has Parkinsons's, had not been able to drink anything hot because of his shaking hands. This mug allows him to drink hot beverages again without spilling. What a treat for him to have coffee on Christmas Day!

Weighted Mug
My Father has essential tremors and purchased this mug for him to find things to make eating and drinking easier. This mug is a hit! So much so that I bought him a second to rotate out! Highly recommend! Thank you!

I bought two of these thinking they would be just what I needed since I am severely arthritic and have trouble holding regular cups and mugs without spilling. These were not good for me as I could not snap the lid on or off. Too hard to use. I need one with screw top.

Although there is no specific hole for a straw, you could probably pinch the straw a little bit and slip it through the mouth piece.

The Insulated Cup with Lid (Product #: CKE1603) is lightweight and microwave safe but only holds 8 oz instead of 12 oz.

It is not microwaveable because stainless steel is used to add the weight to the mug.

As long as it's not on the lower rack were there washers are at the Weighted Insulated Mug will be fine.
