Questions and Answers
The
TUUBEZZ Feeding Tube Belt
is a comfortable to wear soft belt for securing gastronomy or enteral feeding tubes. A caregiver developed this belt to be the most effective way to ensure comfort and ease of control for g-tubes or enteral feeding tubes.
TUUBEZZ Feeding Tube Belt secures the feeding tube while the wearer is sleeping, bathing, during restroom visits and everyday living. The belt protects the area of insertion from pulls, keeps the area clean, and prevents awkward placement of the tube. The TUUBEZZ belt allows easy access for daily feeding and storage while eliminating the need for safety pins, tape, rubber bands or wrapping around undergarments to keep out of the way.
The user simply wraps the TUUBEZZ Belt around their waist with the buttonhole placed at the point of the tube insertion, by belly button. The side adjustment is secured with Velcro for a comfortable fit. The belt is opened and tube is pulled through the buttonhole and secured under the bar, placing the belt next to the body. The tube is laid along the fold of belt and wraps around the torso, inside the belt. The top layer of belt back is placed over the tube, until the tube is completely covered by belt, and secured in place. The TUUBEZZ Feeding Tube Belt is made in the USA of 95% cotton and 5% spandex for softness, absorbency, and durability. The belt can be machine washed and tumble dry.
Non-returnable hygiene item.

Daughter
My mom has Dementia, and after a surgery injury she now eats via peg tube. This belt has been a lifesaver. People with dementia always are doing something with their hands, and tugging at their peg tube is the norm. With your belt my mom's tube is hidden away so there's no distraction with it.I'm ordering another one today. The current belt is about a year old,and has been through a lot,but it's still holding up very well. Also out of the different kinds of belts, yours is definitely the most comfortable, and soft, not scratchy or irritating on her skin. Thanks again.

Buttonhole on wrong side
Comfortable to wear however the buttonhole is to the right of the closure piece and my PEG is on the left side of center abdomen. This makes the closure piece location under my left arm where it rubs me as I have an active and somewhat physical job. It was an easy fix but I would hope that the makers will see these "problems" and simply put in 2 buttonholes, one each side of the closure piece. Otherwise great product and so much more comfy and accessible than those with Velcro pouches.

I was very excited to get this product and it arrived much quicker than I was anticipating! I was somewhat disappointed in the product itself. It seems to move quite a bit and I am always "fiddling" with it trying to keep everything in place. I will say that I think a ended up with one size too big and that could easily explain the problems I have had. Overall it is well made. Make sure to get the right size and hopefully it will work better for you than it did for me.

Mrs
Great idea. Needs to have longer buttonhole. The Small size is still too large for me. Wish it came in a petite size, like 20-26. Still far better than anything else I have looked at.

Q:
Do you have a transfer or gait belt that I can use for my husband once he gets his g-tube put in? Our current gait belt will most likely rub across the tube and pull it out when I lift my husband to transfer him.
Asked by:
Meredith
- 8/1/2016
A:
We do not have a Gait Belt especially for G Tube users but do have a product called the SafetySure Mary's Aide Transfer Sling-CMT6045 which is shaped like an undergarment, and is designed to be worn over the client's clothing and would not rubbed against his tube.

Q:
I have a client that is currently using a surgical wrap but it binds and pinches. This item looks promising but he has dystonia, if this band moves on him, will it pull out his tube? Do you have a return policy if the product turns out to not be an option for him?
Asked by:
Christie
- 11/10/2015
A:
It is possible that the belt will move a little with normal movements. Our return policy can be found under the ordering info tab towards the top of your screen.

Q:
Do you think this would work for a dog?
Asked by:
Marianne
- 8/18/2015
A:
A dogs torso is probably too small for the Tuubezz to fit snugly. However, if you are handy with a needle and thread, you could alter the Tuubezz to fit.
