The TubTight Locking Transfer Bench is an adapted tub transfer bench that secures to the outside of the tub, providing a stable transfer surface and increased privacy for users. TubTight Locking Transfer Bench securely mounts to the outside of the tub wall. When using a traditional bench that stretches over the wall of the tub, the shower curtain is prevented from fully closing. This results in decreased privacy for the user, and often results in water on the floor, which creates increased fall risk. This adapted mounted bath bench allows users to completely close the shower curtain, keeping the floor dry and increasing privacy and safety. Other family members can use the tub or shower without having to uninstall a transfer bench with very stubborn suction cups from the tub floor. The frame and legs are made of heavy-gauge aluminum and have cross-member supports that provide additional strength. With a weight capacity of 600 pounds, bariatric users are comfortably supported. The patented clamping design secures and stabilizes the seat from which the user will transfer. The bench can be used on left or right facing tub designs by reversing or removing the backrest. The clamp is for use on non-fiberglass bathtubs, measuring 7.5 to 17 inches high, with a sidewall between 3 and 7 inches wide. The clamp is easy to adjust and no tools are required for installation. NOTE: TubTight mounts to the outside of the tub, taking up floor space. Please check your bathroom and bathtub dimensions carefully to make sure this product will fit your specific bathroom without interfering with the toilet or vanity. If you need a bath chair in the tub, purchase a bath chair that has a flat seat—NOT CURVED! Adjust the legs on the chair equally, until the seat of the chair while in the tub is at the same height as the transfer bench seat. Having the two seats at the same height will make for a smoother, safer transition.
