The Tall-ette Elevated Toilet Seat features a unique bilateral contoured shape that permits easy rising. This raised toilet seat was designed in conjunction with the OT/PT Rehabilitation Departments at the Hospital for Special Surgery in New York, NY. The toilet seat is designed to allow people who have undergone unilateral or bilateral total hip replacement surgery, or suffered traumatic injuries and need to keep their hips in an extended position to be able to safely sit and stand from the toilet. The saddle-style raised toilet seat also prevents hip adduction and internal rotation.
The Tall-ette Elevated Toilet Seat raises the user 4 inches and fits standard toilets with round bowls. The outside measures 16 inches long, and 14-1/8 inches wide. The inner opening measures 10 inches long, and 8 inches wide. The seat weighs 3.3 pounds and securely attaches to the toilet with the included patented Slip-In Lok-In-El Bracket attachment system. The seat attaches to the toilet in seconds without knobs, clamps, screws, or other complicated devices. The bracket simply slides under the toilet seat hinge pin.
