The Soaper Sponge Bath Sponge features a bathing sponge on a long handle that holds bar soap for bathing. This long handle bathing sponge helps people who have had a stroke, or the use of only one hand, who have difficulty holding a slippery bar of soap.

The Soaper Sponge Bath Sponge is made with a dense foam bath sponge attached to rubber backing. To insert the bar of soap, slide the sponge head off the handle to expose an opening in the back to insert a small bar of soap. The long plastic handle has a non-slip texture and is ergonomically designed with a slight curve. The sponge measures 4.5 inches long and 3 inches wide.

The Long Handle Soap Bath Sponge has a 12 inch long plastic handle that is ergonomically designed with a slight curve and is textured for a non-slip grip. The total length of the Soap Sponge is 15 inches.

Note: The product does not state that the rubber is latex free, therefore one should assume that the rubber backing of the sponge does contain latex.

I like that I can reach my back to wash it. I find that not only is it very difficult to take the sponge off the handle, it is also VERY difficult to get the soap into the sponge and once you do that, it doesn't really work to supply soap to your body. I still have to use more soap to lather the sponge in order to wash myself. It sounds worse that it is. I just wouldn't waste time cutting up a bar of soap and struggling to insert it. Just rub soap onto the sponge. I know it doesn't sound like it, but I really do like it.

Handled Bath Sponge
Sponge works fine...husband w/Parkinson's can now reach back easily. Too difficult to take apart and put small bar of soap in it - which isn't really necessary anyway - Just rub soap on it which we would do w/any other back brush on the market.
