The Eagle Snap-N-Save Sliding Transfer Bench with Cut Out Swivel Seat features a seat that swivels, slides and has a replaceable cut out center. This tub bench eases the transfer into a bathtub by allowing the user to sit down, swivel the seat, and slide the seat into the tub area. Caregivers will find this sliding transfer bench helps make bathing their loved ones easier.

The new and improved Sliding Transfer Bench with Cut Out Swivel Seat features new materials that make the bench stronger and sturdier. The cut out in the seat is wider, and the space under the seat is larger, allowing users to easier access for personal washing. The seat and back are made of sturdy molded plastic with a non-slip textured finish. The backrest can be installed on either side of the seat. Polished, high-strength and rust proof aluminum tubes allow the seat to glide easily. The swivel seat locks every 90° and includes a safety belt. The legs adjust in height to fit user and bathtub clearance, and have strong suction tips to stop movement on wet surfaces.

Sliding Transfer Bench makes getting in tub safer

We have used a shower chair for several years, but recently, C. had balance and fear issues. There was resistance initially, due to the new complexity, but by explaining each and every step before doing it, C. became comfortable, and we are now able to bathe her with minimal risk whenever it's needed. Adjustment took a few tries; the most comfortable height for the length of her legs was limited by the fact that her weight made the rails hit the outer edge of the tub, limiting the slide. What we arrived at is acceptable, the hand grips on both sides of the seat allow her to hold on while I swivel the seat, then slide it into the tub while she lifts each leg as needed.

Q: is the arm reversible? How far does the seat turn? Can it be used for a shower entry?

A: Although the arm is attached, the seat can be oriented in either direction. Seat Swivels 360 degrees. Shower's typically have a narrower entry but as long as you have clearance I don't see why not.

Q: How wide is the sliding transfer bench? We need one that will allow a patient to slide from commode into shower - 48" wide, if possible.

A: The Eagle Health Extra Long Sliding Transfer Bench (Product #: CEH77291) has a base of 48 to 49 inches. It does not come with the Cut-Out Swivel Seat but if you call Customer Service you can special order accessories.

Q: Had a bench similar to this and plastic handles snapped off after a few showers. How sturdy are these handles, and what is warranty on this bench. Also at is return policy if these handles break off? Have others had this problem?

A: The seat and back are made of sturdy molded plastic with a non-slip textured finish. The Eagle Snap-N-Save Sliding Transfer Bench with Cut-Out Swivel Seat 77663 is a NON-RETURNABLE hygiene item. There is a one year manufacturer warranty from the date of purchase.
