The Round Up Plate has a special raised inside edge that helps to keep food from sliding off the plate. This adapted plate helps to make self-feeding easier for people who have limited muscle control or coordination, or the use of one hand.

This raised edge plate measures 8 inches in diameter, and 3/4 inch high. The extended rim is wider on one side. The Round Up Plate is made of plastic that is dishwasher safe and microwave save.

I ordered this for my friend who has severe hand tremors. It is wonderful! This plate and the Liftwear dining utensil have given her great ease of eating neatly and independently again. Although the detachable rim for a plate works equally well, it is not microwaveable, so in the end, she prefers this plate. She is so happy!

Round Up Plate

My wife has Parkinsons and has been experiencing increasing difficulty feeding herself. We ordered the good grip utensils which are great, plus this plate. We use the plate for almost every meal, including taking it to a restaurant. the sides with the lip curving inward is a big help in picking up food. A great design and a big help! If you also offered a larger diameter we would probably get that as well.

Great plate!!!

We ordered this for my mother who has Parkinsons and her fine motor skills are declining. She is able to keep the food on her plate which is easier for her to eat off of and not feel like she's making a mess and being a bother. So simple and so very helpful!

Plate with a lip all the way around

I worried about how this plate would work. I thought the food would just end up on the lip, but it has a slight upward curve around the wall of it that helps to direct the food onto the spoon/fork. It's great!

Round Up Plate

This dish was for my 87 year old mom who has crippling arthritis in both hands which makes it difficult to eat, even with specially-designed flatware. She LOVES this plate! It allows her to scoop up food without pushing it off the edge of the plate. It's even given her confidence to eat in public once again because food stays on her plate. The only negative is that I don't like plastic but that doesn't seem to bother Mom, as her ability to eat much easier far outweighs any concern for the material used to construct the plate.

A: The Round Up Plate is only available in one color. The Inner Lip Plate (Product #: CMI74531R) comes in Red.
