Questions and Answers
The
PROVALE® Cup
is a limited delivery cup that was developed with input from hundreds of Speech-Language Pathologists & Occupational Therapists. This adapted drinking cup encourages normal drinking habits and small swallows. This cup may be used by therapists to help eliminate the need for pre-thickened liquids with some patients with dysphagia.
When the PROVALE Cup is tipped cup in a normal drinking motion, a fixed 5 cc or 10cc amount of liquid is delivered. By returning the cup to its upright position, the chamber is refilled and ready to deliver another 5 cc or 10cc.
The Provale cup patented anti-suck mechanism prevents over-delivery of fluids. The outer cup is transparent which allows monitoring of the liquid level. Two handles are included and the cup can be assembled with both handles, one handle or without the handles. The lid of the cup has a opening for nose clearance which helps to minimize head tilt.

Patient reported works great!
I am a speech therapist and was not sure what to expect with the cup. According to the patient it works great and able to tolerate thin liquids in small amounts minimizing aspiration risk and eliminating the need for thickening! 5 stars!!! One complaint...patient would like it to be able to hold more liquid so he doesn't have to refill it so often. This would be a nice option to add!

the cup certaintly does the job it is suppose to BUT they are over priced with no guarantee. we had ours like 1 year and the lids started leaking therefore the cup was not able to be used. they are suppose to be dishwasher safe but I think after repeated uses the dishawasher maybe helped weaken the lid and it cracked , if the doctor had not of ordered these I don't think we would be spending $40 a cup plus shipping plus tax. it does do what it is suppose to do and I wish the style would be less immature

The cup is hard for an old person to put together. The lip around to top of the cup itself broke when I first tried to do it and I had a dickens of a time trying to get a replacement from you. Finally you acquiesced, but I would never recommend anybody to spend $40 each for the cups I bought. Also I had to wait for my son to come and click the handles into place.

A:
Simply add the item to your cart and follow the checkout instructions. I am sure multiple retailers sell the Provale Cup, but we do not know which stores exactly. I am not familiar with a 'chemist shop', so I can not answer your last question.
