Q: So you need to supply your own straw? If that's the case, then the liquid will spill out if the straw doesn't fit snugly.

A: Straws are not included. The lid "spout" that the straw is inserted into is tapered so it should seal around the straw, however, liquid will still be able to escape the straw itself if there is no cap on the straw.
