The Posey Arm Skinsleeves are made of soft, stretchable fabric for protecting fragile skin. The sleeves provide coverage for the hand, forearm, and elbows, and are ideal for protecting IV and wound sites from tears and abrasions.

The Posey Arm Skinsleeves are made of breathable 95% soft cotton and 5% Lycra fabric. The thumb cut-out keeps the arm sleeve in place leaving the fingers and thumb free. These non-compression skin coverings provide a protective, comfortable fit for thin fragile skin. The soft, knitted yarn is a special blend of cotton/nylon/spandex/Chitosan rayon. Chitosan is a naturally occurring organic, moisture-absorbing rayon fiber that offers anti-microbial properties. This antimicrobial agent protects the material against the growth of bacteria, fungi, and molds, including odor-causing bacteria. Caregivers will find the Posey Arm Skinsleeves provide comfortable protection for fragile or sensitive skin that may bruise or tear easily.

The Posey Arm Skinsleeves are sold in pairs and include one pair per package. Choose from Light colored flesh tone (available in all sizes) and Dark colored flesh tone (available in Medium and Small.)

Small size measures 15.5 inches long and 8-1/2 inch circumference.
Medium size measures 16-1/2 inches long and 11-inch circumference.
Large size measures 18 inches long and 11-inch circumference.
X-Large size measures 20 inches long and 13-inch circumference.
Padded arm measures 16-1/2 inches long and 11-inch circumference.

Posey Arm Skinsleeves can be repeatedly washed and dried. To launder, machine wash, and dry at low temperature. For best results, hang dry.

Non returnable if packaging is opened.

Arm Skinsleeves

My husband has very thin skin on his arms which tear and bleed easily. One of his tears would not heal as every time I took a bandage off the wound would open again. After using these sleeves the wound finally scabbed over and began to heal. Now he doesn't get blood on the sheets or anything else he bangs into. The fabric color is good too.

Do they work?

My wife's forearms suffer from "easy bruisablilty" such that even minor events leave unsightly bruises on her skin. She's tried a number of arm protectors only to find them loose-fitting, cumbersome, uncomfortable, etc. Posey is a respected name in the medical field, so we thought we'd give these a try. First off, they fit well. Since they offer light compression, we hope they'll limit or eliminate bruising, but it's a little too soon to be sure. They have withstood washing well and she says they seem to fit even better. They haven't interfered with her housework, especially when she rolls up the hand portion onto her wrist. They're the best so far!

Posey Arm Skinsleeves

Fast delivery time. Item as described. Works well as intended. I cut off sleeves just below the elbows ton relieve tightness and for me they were not necessary above the elbows. They did not unravel at the cut although they have not been washed yet. I would recommend them.

Q: How do you properly size the arm protectors?

A: The Posey Arm Sleeves are positioned from the base of the fingers to about the middle of the bicep, so simply measure that distance for the length. For the circumference, measure around the bicep, or if you do not plan on wearing them that high, around the forearm. You will want to prioritize getting the circumference as close as possible since you can roll the sleeve up if the length is too long. They are stretchy so you will have a little leeway.

Q: How do I know what size to order? Who fits in the small size for example?

A: Please see the product description for sizing specifications. The small fits someone with an arm length, measuring from the base of the fingers to the middle of the bicep, up to 15.5 inches and an arm circumference, measuring around the middle of the bicep, up to 8.5 inches. However, the length of the arm is not as important as the circumference, as the sleeve can be rolled down if too long. If the persons arm is too big though the sleeve will be tight and uncomfortable.

Q: Is the covering thick or hard so it protects you?

A: The covering is 95% cotton so it really helps to cushion minor blows and protect from abrasions. They are probably a little thicker than a regular sock (as opposed to a very thick winter sock or thin summer sock).

Q: We are in Arizona. How warm are these sleeves? Is there a shorter version?

A: They are a cotton blend so they will breath, but they will be warmer. Different sizes are available that are different lengths, however there are not different lengths for specific arm measurements. You'll just have to roll them down if they are too long.

A: Please see the product description for sizing information, one size does not fit all. You do not want them falling off your arm loose, but you also don't want them so tight that they are uncomfortable. They are made of Cotton and Lycra, so they will stretch.

A: Yes, the extra padding provided by the 95% cotton construction would help keep the skin from tearing and bruising from light bumps or abrasions. The Skinsleeves are sold as a pair, so the "Your Price" is for a pair.

A: No, the skinsleeves only extend midways down the palm, they do not extend to the fingers to help keep them open.
