The non-slip rubber padded bottom prevents the dish from sliding, providing users increased control when scooping food. These adapted scoop plates measures 8 inches in diameter and are made of durable plastic, and are not recommended for heating food in a microwave. For cleaning, plates can be washed in the top shelf of domestic dishwashers.
