Long Toilet Tissue Tongs 15 inch

OMG You have NO idea. I originally received a pair of these tongs when I was in the hospital. They lasted about 6 years. A couple weeks ago, I got to thinking. You know, I've had these a LONG time. They are good and sturdy. They broke a week later. It was the rivet that finally gave out. I was SO UPSET. I went online looking for a replacement. I just thought they were kitchen tongs, I didn't realize they were actually made for this purpose. I went on Amazon and ordered 4 different sets of tongs... the first 2 came and they weren't long enough. I looked at my order and the other 2 that were coming were shorter than the ones I already got. I panicked and went online and searched SPECIFICALLY for tongs to wipe with. lol I came across this website and looked and low and behold .. there they were. An EXACT copy of the kind I had. I was SO relieved. I ordered one and it got to my house before the 2 that hadn't come yet from Amazon I had ordered earlier. lol I am so relieved. These new tongs are VERY sturdy and up for the job. I am going to order a spare one next month, JUST IN CASE. Ya NEVER know. Well worth the price for them. Shipping's a bit steep but what can ya do. I TOTALLY recommend a pair of these if you have problems wiping. The grey grip keeps them from slipping out of your hand.

These tongs are the best compared to other quick release tools. The rivet does need to be sturdier. But they do work and reach well. and grip the paper fine. They last about a year then need replaced. I carry one in my purse and have one by the toilet. A life saver!!!!!!Buy 15 inch ones for best reach unless you are short/tiny. Think they come in a 12 inch too.

they don't work for me I have Arthritis in both hands.the handle on your tongs are made so I can't keep handles shut to hold paper, I wasted money on these...Thank ya anyways...Sarah

I got this item to replace a similar tong that I received from the hospital 7 years. It is a tiny bit bigger than I anticipated, but it is great for folks like me with short arms and shoulder problems. I would recommend it to anyone, but if you're a tiny person, I would recommend a smaller one.

Like others, I was given a pair of these in Rehab after my back surgery. The first pair lasted several years, but eventually the rivet broke. The plastic quick release toilet paper holders do not work any where near as well. Most are way too short, especially if you are a large person or have short arms. The second pair of tongs did not seem to last as long as the first, but I could be wrong as keeping track of the purchase date was not something I thought about. This time I bought two: one for home and one to keep in my suitcase for when I travel--one trip with me in one city and the tongs 500 miles away made it worth price!
