Large Universal Weighted Holder

The Large Weighted Universal Holder is a weighted toothbrush and razor holder designed to help those with hand tremors. The weighted handle has a large grip diameter and the added weight helps to stabilize tremulous hands and provide more direct feedback. Caregivers for people with Parkinson's disease or essential tremor may find this item helpful for increasing grooming independence.

The Large Weighted Universal Holder is designed to hold a toothbrush, disposable razor, or items with a maximum of 1/2 inch in diameter. The handle weighs approximately 7 ounces and includes an Allen wrench, and 3 set screws that tighten in a triangular pattern to secure the item. The handle measures 5-1/4 inches long, and has a diameter of 1-1/8 inch. The handle is designed to assist in simplifying the daily activities that can sometimes challenge those with Parkinson's disease, ataxia, hand tremors, neurological conditions. The toothbrush shown is an Oral B and the disposable razor is the Gillette Trac II. Toothbrush and Razor for demonstration only and are not included with the holder.
