Before using, the drain should be opened and the spout loosened for ventilation. The caregiver then positions the user’s head, neck and shoulders on the neck support and shampoos and rinses their hair. After making sure all the water has drained into the unit, the drain and drain spout are closed, securing the basin for transport. To empty the used water from the basin, stand it upright, loosen basin drain and open the drain spout to empty the water out into a sink.
