Home Heart Beats, LLC is the Inventor of "The Original AFO Assist" which is an innovative ankle foot orthosis (AFO) and shoe donning aid used by stroke survivors and other physically challenged clients to regain dressing independence. Founder Diane Vitillo has worked in the rehabilitation profession for over 25 years as a Physical Therapist Assistant and an Occupational Therapist. She was challenged by one of her patients, a young stroke survivor, to make him a product that he could use to independently put on (donn) his ankle foot orthosis and shoe.
