I cannot sing the praises of this dog enough! My 92 year old Alzheimer's Dad, whom I care for at home, used to sit in his rocking chair for the better part of a day just sleeping. He absolutely loves this dog and has named it "Pickles". Now he's awake most of the day just talking to, petting and hugging his new friend. Even his awareness of where he is has increased. He hallucinates, can't find his bedroom or bathroom at times, doesn't know the day, date or season, but he is so much more alert now that he has "Pickles". Hasbro should do so much more advertising as they have a definite winner here. I am so glad that I accidentally came across him/her and wish that all demential patients were able to have one. Please, Hasbro, advertise more! You have SUCH a winner here! Thank you for opening a whole new world for my Dad!

HUGE SUCCESS!!! This is a must have purchase for long-term living facilities. I was unsure if people would feel like it was juvenile but it was anything but. The response by residents both with dementia and without have been the same. It interacts with residents and they interact with the dog. We are adding this item to our Christmas list for families who wish to make a gift donation to the facility. I suggest others do the same. We need more cats and dogs and have barely had these a week. Well worth the investment. Music entertainers are here for an hour. These interactive animals keep on giving and don't cost much more. Skip one or two music entertainers to buy these pets. You won't be sorry and neither will the residents.

This is a delightful pet for elders. We have one in our facility. It is loved by them all. The first day with it. They work interacting with it through the whole day. It's adorable. Great for pet lovers who can't have a live animal.

Q: Does it have settings for volume control and allowed in rest homes?

A: There isn't a volume control but on the switch there is a mute function. This will allow the Pup to continue moving but not make any noise.
