A: You place it into the steel U bolt that the car door latches to when closed. When the car door is opened simply place the Handybar into the U bolt and the leverage creates a handle for you use to push yourself up and use as stability to get in or out of the vehicle.

Q: How high is the cushion?

A: The cushion is constructed of two thin cushions. The entire cushion can't be anymore that an inch to two inches thick.
