The Freedom Transport Chair is an adapted chair designed to allow access for people in wheelchairs to transport with ease across rough outdoor terrain areas such as paths, beaches, and parks. It doubles as a chair that also may transport people up and down stairs or as an emergency evacuation chair.
The Freedom Transport Chair is made of aircraft-grade aluminum, has 10-inch rugged tires, and a weather-resistant open weave polyester seat. The polypropylene restraint harness with nylon buckle, hook and loop arm/leg restraints, and comfortable non-slip rubber grips provide increased safety. The frame is made of aircraft-grade aluminum which is durable and lightweight. Most other evacuation chairs are made of PVC, which will break down in the sun after some time. The lightweight and easy-to-carry sturdy aircraft-grade aluminum frame folds flat to mount on almost any wall, with the included hardware. This emergency chair allows users to be easily evacuated up and down stairs. Each chair includes a large pocket on the back of the seat for storing various items.
