For those who experience tremors during fine motor tasks, the HandiThings Forearm Weight by HandiThings is designed to reduce such tremors. This tubular weighted stretch sleeve distributes the weight evenly along the full length of the forearm, allowing maximum flexibility and mobility.

The Forearm Weight by HandiThings provides proprioceptive input, increases sensory feedback, enhances kinesthetic awareness, and can be used for strengthening exercises. Therapists recommend wearing it during fine motor or self help activities. It is an alternative for those who need extra sensory input during handwriting, but aren't able to tolerate a weighted glove or weighted pencil.

Constructed of durable stretch cotton Lycra and lead free steel shot, the HandiThings Forearm Weight also uses heavy duty stitching for added durability. The symmetrical weight means it can be worn on either arm. The HandiThings Forearm Weight comes in 5 sizes, which can be determined by the circumference of the fullest part of the forearm.

I love my sleeves although I live in a very warm climate and might find it hard to wear them all the times I should during the Summer months. I was told by a PT to try .25lb first, then work up and see what works because it's a balance of trying to help tremor but not cause excess fatigue. I'm lucky enough to have small arms to be able to try the .50lb sleeves first before moving up to the 1lb sleeves. They do help with tremor, and are easy to wear.

Got this for my 92 year old mother-in-law. Her tremors cause problems eating, drinking, crafting. Found this gives just enough weight to keep her arm from shaking. Unlike gloves that you have to take on and off to wash your hands, do dishes, etc.... This can stay dry all day.

Awesome product
The quality is good and the product itself is exactly as described. The only issue I had is that It's not weighted enough to reduce my son's arm tremors. He is an extreme case, though, due to a brain injury causing him to be a hemiplegic. He's 200lbs and his tremor is so bad that it can knock someone out if hit in the right spot. Unfortunately, this product didnt work for him but it'll do the job on someone with mild to moderate tremors.
