The Extra Large Clear Plate Guard is made of a heavy duty clear plastic which fits plates up to 10 inches in diameter. This clear plate guard provides a barrier for a person to push their food against, and can be used discreetly while dining out.

Attach the guard to the plate by stretching open the plate guard, and place the rim of the plate into the "V" shaped groove of the plate guard. This type of attachment prevents food and liquids from going between the guard and the plate. The plate guard can easily be removed for cleaning, and is dishwasher safe up to 125 degrees F.

Plate guard

Pretty good! It fits in a regular plate, but probably won't fit in a real large plate. Other than that is really stable and works well.

Great product - well made and exactly what I was looking for. However only fits a salad plate not dinner plate - too bad as it's not very functional for main dinning items.

Beware this plate guard may not fit your dining plate!,I tried it on a ceramic plate and was unable to attach it as the plate had thicker edges , I found it best to work on a maximum sized 9" plate that was made of tempered glass found in many kitchen supply stores , because the plate guard ring is ridged it can also pop off like a boomerang if it is not matched to the right sized plate. It is when properly fitted a good device .

Works, and is discreet!

My husband, a Parkinson's patient, is beginning to have issues feeding himself. He needs something to push the food against while trying to load his fork. This works well, and fits our dinner plates. It is also unobtrusive--the clear plastic makes it hard for the casual observer to see that there is a guard on his plate, allowing him to retain his dignity while dining. I wish it came in the ultra-large option, for use on restaurant-sized plates!

This item would be nice but my plates are larger than it will fit. I tried it on a paper plate with a plate holder but it was still to small.
