Every caregiver has to deal with a good amount of stress. It is important for you to get a good night's sleep and to relax each day. Below are two all-natural drinks that can help you to fall asleep faster each night:

Cherry Juice and Vanilla

Cherry juice is a great part of a morning and evening routine. It tastes great and is very refreshing. Also, tart cherries are very rich in melatonin, which is the hormone that regulates how we fall asleep and wake up. So, enjoying a glass of cherry juice a couple times per day should help you to fall asleep and to wake up on time.

Also, consider adding vanilla; it has a lovely, soothing scent. Adding a drop or two to your cherry juice also can help you to relax and melt the stress away.

All you need is five to eight ounces of tart cherry juice, and a few drops of vanilla extra. We recommend only using the vanilla at night, as using it during the day can make you nod off during the day! :)

Warm Milk and Honey

This drink is a wonderful combination of warm milk, honey and a dash of nutmeg.

Warm milk really can help you to fall asleep more quickly, as you probably have heard over the years. Warm milk does not actually make you sleepy by increasing tryptophan levels as some people think. However, it can raise your body temperature when it is warm up. This can certainly make you calm and sleepy.

Also, it seems that milk does indeed have some sort of placebo effect on us. Warm milk gives us some type of calming feeling that can make us sleepy.

The honey contains L-trytophan is an important amino acid that helps us to rest well. It is related to serotonin and then can be made into melatonin, which is what regulates our sleeping and waking cycles. Honey makes insulin spike, and this pushes tryptophan through the blood brain barrier. Then it is made into serotonin, and then melatonin. Sleepy time!

And nutmeg contains several chemical properties that make the body more tranquil.
