The Animal Bingo by Active Minds is a fun, engaging adapted Bingo game that allows for people in early and mid to late stage dementia to play together in a group. Caregivers will find this game fun for people of all ages and abilities.

The Animal Bingo Game by Active Minds is an audio game, using authentic animal sounds and beautifully illustrated images instead of numbers. The bingo caller plays the different sounds on shuffle while players put counters on the matching image. The bingo caller also has a flip book to show images of the animals as an additional prompt. To win, a player needs to match 9 animals on their card and shout “Bingo!”. Designed with and for people with dementia, this game is a group activity for up to 12 players. This inter-generational game was designed after observing that as people’s dementia progresses, they find it harder and harder to play traditional bingo. This adapted Bingo game allows people in early and later stages of dementia to play together, encourages choices, control, conversational skills, helps restore a sense of personal identity, and helps to improve communication.
