This self-contained system is easy to use and there is no extra cost for additional devices, or cellular or Wi-Fi service. Alerta is a simple and low-tech way to keep loved-ones with Alzheimer's, Dementia or Memory Loss from a dangerous wandering event.

The Alerta Track Patch is an electronic device enveloped in a 3M medical-grade adhesive that is worn directly on the skin of the upper-back of the care recipient. The easy to apply patch is light weight, small, comfortable to wear and discreet. The water-resistant patch with gentle adhesive provides reliable performance during daily activities including sitting, sleeping, bathing, moving, walking. Unlike other devices, like lanyards and wristbands, the patch cannot be removed by the wearer. Using radio-frequency technology, the patch does not depend on cellular towers or satellites, works inside the house and provides a reliable, strong continuous signal in any position. The patch works for 30 days, during which time, the Track Patch Cover is replaced every ten days.

The Alerta Wandering Alarm is a handheld receiver that can go wherever the caregiver and care recipient need to go. When the Patch & Wedge move away from each other by more than 65 to 95 feet, the receiver audibly alarms and flashes. The loud alarm alerts the caregiver when the user wanders too far and direct line-of-sight to care recipient is not required. The system operates on a radio frequency, and is optimal for house or apartment, enabling aging-in-place at home. Alerta Wandering Alarm and Track Patch are available with a 1 month or 3 month patch supply, and additional patch refills are also available.
