The Akton Polymer Heel and Elbow Pads are soft gel cushions that provide effective pressure relief and skin protection. Caregivers for people at risk for, or diagnosed with, compromised skin disorders will find these gel pads helpful for preventing pressure sores. These gel heel and elbow protectors are sold as a pair and are available in 1/4 or 1/2 inch thicknesses.

Akton Polymer Heel and Elbow Pads are made of an 100% smooth Akton viscoelastic polymer. This soft material looks and feels like a gel to reduce the development of pressure sores by resisting shearing forces. Akton polymer will not leak, flow or absorb fluids, nor will it bottom out under heavy loads. It is tissue equivalent, moving with the user, not against them. Akton polymer will not support microbiological growth and easy to clean with standard disinfectant.
