The Akton Polymer Adaptive Flat Pad 5/8 inch is made of smooth viscoelastic polymer that provides effective pressure relief and comfort. Caregivers will find this soft, durable gel material useful for preventing pressure problems in a variety of traditional and non-traditional seating challenges.

The Akton Polymer Adaptive Flat Pad 5/8 inch can be cut and used for spot protection on support surfaces such as arm pads, foot plates, head rests, leg rests, and splints or braces. This Adaptive Pad can also be used as a seating cushion for comfort. Akton polymer will not leak, flow, or bottom out. The material is designed to be tissue equivalent and moves with the user, not against them, reducing the risk of increased pressure and shear. The Akton Polymer is also easy to clean with standard disinfectant, will not support microbiological growth, and does not absorb body fluids or odors.

Please note: If the 5/8 inch pad is used for a seating cushion, it must be covered with an Action brand cover for the warranty to be in force.

The Optional Basic Cover COV531 is available for purchase separately. Made of a durable stretch knit material which is essential to utilize the protective cushion properties, soft black pontae fabric, with non skid bottom, zippered on 3 sides, removable and washable.
